Philippines awards 63 offshore wind contracts

The Philippines has awarded 63 offshore wind contracts with a total potential capacity of 49.928 gigawatts, which is enough to supply the country’s future electricity demand, the Department of Energy (DOE) said Sunday.

Iberdrola supplies offshore wind energy to Salzgitter Group

General – Power Supply Contract

Salzgitter Flachstahl and Iberdrola Deutschland have now signed a long-term power supply contract. The electricity is to be sourced from the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm currently under construction in the German Baltic Sea.

Shell plans 10 additional wells offshore Namibia
