General – Sale of Oil

On February 11, 2025, Brazilian oil and gas company Brava Energia finalized a pivotal agreement with global commodity trader Trafigura.

This contract covers the sale of six million barrels of oil from the Atlanta field, a key offshore asset in Brazil’s Santos Basin.

The deal reflects Brava Energia’s strategic focus on deepwater production and its growing role in Brazil’s energy sector.

The Atlanta field, operated by Brava Energia with an 80% stake and Westlawn holding the remaining 20%, produces heavy oil with low sulfur content.

Production began in January 2025 using the state-of-the-art FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) vessel Atlanta.

The contract between Brava Energia and Trafigura offers flexible terms designed to maximize value. It includes profit-sharing mechanisms through cargo combinations, access to specialized markets for Atlanta‘s unique oil grade, and competitive financing options.
