Philippines awards 63 offshore wind contracts

The Philippines has awarded 63 offshore wind contracts with a total potential capacity of 49.928 gigawatts, which is enough to supply the country’s future electricity demand, the Department of Energy (DOE) said Sunday.

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), has signed 25-year Offshore Wind Service Contracts with the Philippines’ Department of Energy (DOE) for three offshore wind farms totalling 2 GW in capacity.
