EPCI Contract

Subsea7 has secured a contract from Aker BP for the accelerated development of the Lyra field in the Norwegian North Sea.

The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of gas lift and production pipelines, as well as the associated subsea infrastructure for the development, which was formerly known as Kjøttkake.

Located around 44 kilometres from the Gjøa platform, the Lyra field will be developed as a subsea tieback to the Gjøa field via existing infrastructure at the Nova field.

The production pipeline will feature a pipe-in-pipe design, with offshore installation to be carried out using vessels from Subsea7’s fleet.

While no precise figure was given, Subsea7 defines this contract as substantial, placing it in the $150m to $300m range.

Engineering and project management will begin immediately at the company’s Stavanger office, while pipeline fabrication will take place at its Vigra spool base.

Offshore activities are scheduled for 2026, 2027 and 2028.
