ExxonMobil sees more room for Guyana growth beyond 2030

Guyana

ExxonMobil expects Guyana to remain a key driver of production growth beyond 2030, with CEO Darren Woods highlighting significant opportunities for further offshore expansion.

The company has already secured approval for seven developments in Guyana’s Stabroek Block, representing more than US$60 billion in committed investment. An eighth project, Longtail, is under regulatory review, while the proposed ninth development, Haimara, has entered the environmental authorization process.

Longtail is targeting production around 2030, with Haimara potentially following in the early 2030s. Both projects are expected to expand offshore natural gas and condensate production.

During ExxonMobil’s third-quarter earnings call, Woods emphasized that the company sees substantial additional growth potential but wants greater technical and commercial certainty before announcing new commitments.

ExxonMobil also views continued exploration as a key source of future growth, reinforcing Guyana’s strategic importance within its long-term global production portfolio.
