Decommissioning

North Sea operator Perenco has successfully decommissioned both the Leman South and the Durango subsea assets in the Southern North Sea (SNS).

A single campaign framework resulted in the plugging and abandonment (P&A) of the wells and the removal of the associated subsea infrastructure.

The work was completed in collaboration with Petrodec.

Perenco said the operations were highly complex but delivered on the agreed timeframe using Petrodec’s HAEVA jack up vessel.

The firm said the campaign built on recent experience gained from the Gawain, Arthur and Davy subsea abandonment projects, which were also completed using the HAEVA.
