Big lift, big milestone for Trion

Sunday, October 4 2026

Turret

The turret for the FSO Chalchi was recently safely and successfully integrated into the hull at the COSCO yard in China.

This milestone marks the completion of SBM Offshore’s Disconnectable Turret Mooring (DTM) construction scope for the Trion project.

With the DTM buoy already delivered to Mexico and the FSO construction set to continue until 2026, Trion is building momentum towards the vessel’s targeted arrival in Mexico in 2027.
