Jan De Nul expands its fleet for the installation and protection of subsea energy cables.
In March, the company already announced the order of the Isambard K. Brunel, a trenching support vessel specifically designed to safely bury cables in the seabed.
The vessel will now be joined by a sister vessel, an exact copy that will further increase Jan De Nul’s capacity.
With this latest order, Jan De Nul currently has five vessels under construction for the installation and protection of subsea energy cables. These include two XL cable-laying vessels, an XL rock installation vessel to protect the cables, and now two vessels designed to safely bury cables in the seabed.
