OSS
Following the jackets, the topsides for the two offshore substations (OSS) have now completed their load-outs.
The OSS Zingst topside was loaded out in Schiedam, while the OSS Darß topside was loaded out in Vlissingen. Each topside has a capacity of approximately 450 MW.
OSS Zingst and OSS Darß are part of 50Hertz Transmission GmbH’s OST-6-1 grid connection for the 927 MW Gennaker Offshore Wind Farm.
Through the HSI Joint Venture, Smulders HSM and Iv are responsible for the complete EPCIC scope for the topsides and jackets of both offshore substations.
With the load-outs completed, the project is approaching its next defining milestone: sail-away.
