Mozambique
Saipem, in consortium with Jan De Nul, has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with ExxonMobil for the Rovuma LNG Phase 1 development in Mozambique.
The Letter of Intent concerns limited preliminary engineering and procurement and other technical services, aimed at advancing project definition and execution planning, for an initial value of approximately 11 million euro.
The final award of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) contract to the consortium is expected in 2026.
The Saipem–Jan De Nul consortium will contribute to the project with its extensive experience in the EPCI of subsea facilities, including gas export pipelines, umbilicals, infield flowlines and related infrastructures in shallow and deepwater environments.
