Installation
Heerema Marine Contractors has successfully installed the production wellhead platform (PWP) topside and flare for operator Aker BP.

This marks the completion of a five-year collaboration in support of the Yggdrasil and Valhall PWP-Fenris developments on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Installed by Heerema’s semi-submersible crane vessel Sleipnir, the PWP topside weighs more than 16,500 tonnes, making it the second-largest structure ever lifted and installed by the vessel.
The installation concludes an extensive offshore programme that began in 2024 and involved the transport and installation of nearly 95,000 tonnes of offshore structures.
Over three years of offshore execution, Heerema installed four lift jackets, one launch jacket, 56 piles, a pre-drilling module, two pre-drilling decks, a bridge, four topsides, two flare structures and several smaller offshore structures.
