Heerema Marine Contractors, in a consortium with AF Offshore Decom, has been awarded three contracts by a North Sea operator.
The contracts are for the engineering, preparation, removal and disposal (EPRD) of three platforms in the UK North Sea, with a combined weight of more than 120,000 tonnes.
The platforms will be removed in a multi-year offshore campaign using Heerema’s unique heavy-lift fleet and transported to AF Environmental Base Vats for onshore dismantling, recycling and disposal. The projects are expected to be completed within the next decade.
