General – Pipeline Installation

Allseas joined partners and stakeholders in Taiwan for a special ceremony marking the start of the Yongan–Tongxiao 2 (YT2) offshore natural gas pipeline project.

Awarded by CPC Corporation Taiwan to a 50/50 Allseas and Boskalis partnership, YT2 is a major EPC project and one of the longest offshore gas pipelines to be installed in shallow waters.

Within the partnership, Allseas will execute the offshore pipeline installation and pre-commissioning scope, including pre-lay installation of concrete mattresses.

These activities will be performed using two of the world’s most advanced pipelay vessels, drawing on decades of experience delivering large-scale, technically demanding projects.

Complementing this, consortium partner Boskalis will execute extensive nearshore and offshore works, including landfalls, trenching, backfilling, and protection of pipeline and cable crossings.

Offshore execution is scheduled to start in 2027. Once complete, the 232 km, 36-inch pipeline will link the Yongan LNG terminal with the Tongxiao LNG transfer station, significantly enhancing Taiwan’s natural gas network capacity, reliability, and resilience – supporting energy security and the transition to a lower‑carbon future.
