Fossil Energy – Production

Guyana announced on Wednesday that the country’s daily oil production has reached a new milestone of 900,000 barrels per day, following the ramp-up of the Yellowtail project to full capacity.

The ONE GUYANA FPSO hit first oil on August 8, 2025 (source: ExxonMobil).

Yellowtail, Guyana’s fourth offshore development, has achieved its designed production rate of 250,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd).

This, combined with strong operational performance from Liza Phase 1, Liza Phase 2, and Payara, has propelled national output to this record level.

Yellowtail began operations on August 8 – four months ahead of schedule, with the SBM-Offshore built ONE GUYANA FPSO.
