General – Appointment
Deutsche Windtechnik (DWT) expanded its management team on 1 October 2025, appointing Achim Berge Olsen as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Simultaneously, former CEO Jens Landwehr transitions into the newly created roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer (CFO/CTO). Marcel Meins supports the team as an authorized signatory in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). With these new appointments and improved role distribution, the company aims to further expand its international offshore presence in the coming years while maintaining operational efficiency and financial strength.
Achim Berge Olsen brings over two decades of hands-on industry experience to the company. As former Managing Director of wpd offshore GmbH and Board Member of wpd AG, he oversaw the development of the offshore business from a project developer to the construction and operation of complete offshore wind farms, making him one of the pioneers of the German offshore industry.
In 2022/23, he served as CEO and later as a member of the advisory board at Skyborn Renewables, a leading developer and operator of offshore wind projects.
Achim Berge Olsen stated: “In my new role as Offshore CEO, I aim to strategically develop the company through new products and partnerships, securing and increasing growth over the long term. At the same time, we want to further improve our existing offerings to become even more attractive to our customers.”
