Monday, August 25 2025

General – Vietnam

Recently, Petrovietnam and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) on offshore wind projects, with the participation of the Danish Embassy in Vietnam.

The agreement highlights:

– Petrovietnam’s strategic role in Vietnam’s energy transition towards Net Zero 2050.

– The complementarity of both sides: Petrovietnam’s offshore expertise, infrastructure, and workforce combined with CIP’s global experience, technology, and financing capacity.

– A foundation for developing a domestic supply chain, creating jobs, attracting green FDI, and positioning Vietnam as a regional hub for clean energy.

Petrovietnam’s leadership emphasized that the cooperation aims not only to implement offshore wind projects, but also to build a sustainable, clean energy industry in Vietnam for the long term.
