Fossil Energy – Decommissioning

Helix Energy Solutions Group has unmoored the Q7000, a purpose-built DP3 semisubmersible intervention vessel, from the Estaleiro BrasFELS pier in Angra dos Reis, Brazil.

The semisub is underway to the pilot station to prepare for sea trials before kicking off a 400-day deepwater well decommissioning project for Shell Brasil at the Bijupira and Salema fields in the Campos Basin.
