Eirik Ellingsen to become CEO of Mooreast Holdings

Mooreast Holdings has announced that Eirik Ellingsen will take over as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025.

Ellingsen, a seasoned professional from Norway with over 35 years of experience in the offshore and marine sectors, will succeed the company’s founder, Sim Koon Lam, who will continue as Executive Director and Deputy Chairman.

Ellingsen’s appointment comes as the global floating offshore wind market gains significant traction. He currently serves as Director of Offshore Wind in the Asia Pacific at Norwegian Energy Partners, where he has developed strong connections in key markets such as South Korea, Japan, and Australia.

His leadership is anticipated to bolster Mooreast’s status as a top provider of cutting-edge mooring solutions for floating wind projects.

In a statement regarding his upcoming role, Ellingsen expressed his enthusiasm for joining Mooreast, noting his commitment to driving transformative strategies that will position the company as a leader in the floating renewable energy sector.
