Dredging project for DEME in Indonesia

Dredging – Port of Patimban

Recently, DEME kicked off a dredging project at the Port of Patimban in West Java, Indonesia.

The Belgian company is carrying out dredging operations to deepen the port’s access channel.

This project represents a key milestone for DEME and its team in Indonesia, particularly following the reflagging of our trailing suction hopper dredger Brabo to the Indonesian flag.

Patimban is a port development initiated by the Indonesian government, with financial backing from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

The port is set to drive economic growth in the region and bolster Indonesia’s role in global maritime trade.
