Fossil Energy – Decommissioning

Sander Bonefaas of Eni Energy announced on social media the successful lift of one of  Eni’s platforms from the North Sea.

The operation was executed by the Rambiz. The platform was sea-fastened on Royal Wagenborg WB11 and towed from the offshore position to harbour.

This project is special due to the fact the platform will be reused in future by another operator. Therefore, the decommissioning was challenging due to minimize the damage to the platform and keeping up systems running as long as possible.
