Wind Energy – T & I Baltic Sea

Heerema Marine Contractors has been awarded contracts by MFW Baltyk II and MFW Baltyk III.

The Baltyk 2 and Baltyk 3 projects are approximately 27 km and 40 km from the port of Leba. The scope of the contracts includes the transportation and installation of 100 monopiles and transition pieces, sourced from European fabrication yards and installed in the Baltic Sea. Additionally, Heerema will handle the transportation and installation of offshore substation jackets and topsides.

Heerema will utilize its heavy lift vessel, Thialf, for these critical operations.

“We are extremely honored to have been selected for these pivotal projects in the Baltic Sea,” said Jeroen van Oosten, Chief Commercial Officer of Heerema Marine Contractors. “These contracts underscore our commitment to supporting the global energy transition and enhancing Poland’s energy security.”
