Wind Energy – Norway/US
Gunhild Myhr from the global marine subsurface company PGS is the new working group leader for the US in Norwegian Offshore Wind.
Norway and US share a common target of 30 GW by 2040. California is already well underway within the floating segment, with Morrow Bay and Humboldt tenders held in 2023.
“I am excited to lead the strategic work of getting members of Norwegain Offshore Wind into this emerging market. The US is exciting, but also somewhat challenging in many aspects, and based on our experience in this market, collaboration is an important tool to succeed,” says Myhr.
She currently holds the position as Vice President Business Development for Offshore Wind in PGS, and the company is now committed to delivering their services to offshore wind in several international markets.
The working group has exciting activities planned for 2024, with the global industry meet up IPF coming up in New Orleans in April, where Team Norway will have a pavilion and a delegation.
In addition to market visits, the working group shares insight on upcoming developments. Per now, more than 30 of the almost 400 member companies of Norwegian Offshore Wind are part of the working group.
