In preparation for RoRo loading, the monopiles were lifted into the transport cradles by a strand jack system. Aboard the deck carrier, the foundations are now on their way to Portsmouth Marine Terminal, Virginia, where they will arrive in approximately two and a half weeks.

In total, EEW SPC is producing 176 monopile foundations, which are up to 83 meters long, weigh up to 1538 tons and have a diameter of up to 9.5 meters.

The largest offshore wind project in the U.S. to date is expected to provide clean, renewable electricity for up to 660,000 homes when construction is completed in 2026.
