This strategic move allows for better integration of CWind Taiwan into IOG’s portfolio, which also includes IOVTEC, Taiwan International Windpower Training Corporation (TIWTC), Fugro IOVTEC, and IOG Shipyard.

The acquisition further strengthens IOG’s commitment to local talent development, supply chain investment, and the green agenda of Taiwan’s Government, society, and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) offshore wind market.

CWind has successfully imparted its extensive knowledge and expertise to CWind Taiwan’s team over the past five years. This acquisition includes the IP right and established integrated management system, exclusive use of brand name in Asia-Pacific region and along with the retention of key personnel, ensures the transfer of these valuable skills to the local team, empowering them to grow and develop further.

CWind Taiwan was established in early 2018 as a joint venture between IOG (formerly known as IOVTEC) and CWind, a UK-based offshore wind services provider, and part of the Global Marine Group.
