Wind Energy – Installation Vessel

The new jack-up vessel Voltaire, owned by Jan de Nul, recently left the COSCO Shipping Shipyard in China and is currently heading for the United Arab Emirates.

Voltaire will be showing her best for the first time in the Dogger Bank project, off the English coast.

With her crane capacity of 3,000 tonnes, four immense legs of 130 metres, and capacity to lift 16,000 tonnes of useful cargo out of the water, Voltaire is the world’s tallest jack-up installation vessel.

Her innovative design makes the vessel highly suitable for the installation of next-generation offshore wind farms.
