Approval for North Sea Snorre gas import line

Tuesday, August 2 2022

Fossil Energy

Equinor has approval from Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) for temporary use of the Snorre gas import pipeline in the northern Norwegian North Sea.

This is part of the Snorre Gas Import System sub-project under the Snorre Expansion Project for the Snorre Field in the Tampen area, in 300 m to 350 m water depth.

Production from the field started in 1992. The plan for development and operation of the Snorre Expansion Project was approved in 2018. This is a subsea tieback to the Snorre A TLP, comprising six subsea templates, each with four wells.
