Wind Energy – Hywind Tampen

Equinor will soon start the assembly of 11 wind turbines for the Hywind Tampen floating wind farm in the Norwegian North Sea.

This spring blades, nacelles and tower sections have arrived at Gulen industrial harbour on the west coast of Norway and soon we’re ready to put the amazing puzzle together.

Each turbine will stand 295 metres tall and will be anchored to the seabed by chains and suction anchors.

Hywind Tampen will deliver renewable energy to the Snorre and Gullfaks fields and reduce CO2 emissions by 200,000 tonnes annually.

Equinor posted a video.
