Wind energy – interest
Japanese oil company Inpex moves to buy 50 percent of offshore wind farm Luchterduinen and 15 percent of Borssele 3+4 off the Netherlands’ coast.
Inpex Renewable, the newly launched, UK-based green energy subsidiary of the Japanese oil outfit, has signed an agreement to buy an interest in these two offshore wind farms in Dutch waters.
The deal is signed with Mitsubishi’s subsidiary in the Netherlands, Diamond Generating Europe.
Before the deal can reach full close, domestic public authorities, among others, will have to give their stamp of approval.
15 percent of Borssele 3+4 will be transferred to Inpex Renewable.
Half of Luchterduinen of 129MW, online since 2015, will be be owned by Inpex’ UK subsidiary.
