Pre-assembly port for Baltic Eagle OWF

Tuesday, August 24 2021

Wind energy – Baltic Eagle

The Danish Port of Roenne will be the pre-assembly port for the Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm project in 2023-24.

Baltic Eagle is a project of 50 units producing 476 megawatts (MW). Spanish Iberdrola is the park owner, and the turbine supplier is Vestas with their V174-9.5 MW. It will be the largest project Vestas has installed in German waters.

The park will annually produce 1,9 TWh, enough to meet the needs of 475.000 homes, and will annually reduce the CO2 emission by almost one million tonnes.
