Fabricated by Eiffage Métal’s subsidiaries Smulders in Belgium and SIF in the Netherlands, the first load left the Port of Rotterdam last week.
Saint-Nazaire will be the first commercial offshore wind farm to be built in France and the first offshore wind farm in the world to use drilled XL monopile foundations, to be installed from DEME Offshore’s installation vessel ‘Innovation’.
DEME Offshore was awarded the EPCI contract for the foundations together with our consortium partner Eiffage Métal in 2019.
