A few weeks ago, two units upper jacket parts, each about 410 tonnes unit weight were loaded on board mv Aura at Cadiz, Spain.
The upper jackets, with approximate dimensions of 20 x 21 meter and 29 meter height, were loaded onto the vessel using an overhead crane, and safely landed and sea-fastened on a specifically designed grillage welded on deck of the vessel.
The vessel proceeded to Newcastle in the UK, were the units were offloaded and further finished to be used in a UK Offshore windfarm.
Meantime the Aura has returned to Spain and is ready to accommodate the second batch of jacket parts. Another 9 trips to go.
