Rhode Island Energy will issue new offshore wind request

Governor Dan McKee announced that Rhode Island Energy, the state’s leading energy utility, will be issuing a new Request for Proposals (RFP) to solicit approximately 1200 megawatts of new offshore wind to help power the state’s clean energy needs.

Rhode Island Energy not moving forward on sole bid

Yesterday Rhode Island Energy in a press release that the company decided that it will not be moving forward on a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Ørsted and Eversource for the companies’ joint offshore wind proposal, known as Revolution Wind 2.
