SSEN Transmission announced it has selected Sumitomo Electric Industries and its subsea cable installation partner, Van Oord Offshore Wind UK, (the Sumitomo Electric Van Oord Consortium) as preferred bidder for the proposed Shetland 2 High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) link subsea cable.

In a landmark milestone for the global energy transition, the consortium between Elicio, international wind energy producer, and BayWa r.e., renewable energy developer and solutions provider, has been announced as winner of the AO5 tender in France to develop the world’s first commercial floating offshore wind farm, by Bruno le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty, and Roland Lescure, Minister Delegate for Industry and Energy.

Diamond Offshore Drilling today announced that it has executed a two-year contract extension with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Occidental, in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico for the Ocean BlackHawk, commencing in November 2024 in direct continuation of the rig’s current contract.
