First monopiles for Hornsea 3 at Steel River Quay

The first six monopiles for Ørsted’s Hornsea 3 offshore wind project have now arrived at Steel River Quay, completing a 960 nautical-mile journey from Bilbao, Spain, in two shipments from manufacturer Haizea Wind Group.

CIP acquires Ørsted’s European onshore business

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has agreed to acquire Ørsted’s European onshore business, which has over 800 MW in operation and under construction, along with a multi-gigawatt development pipeline across Ireland, the UK, Germany, and Spain.

Cathay Life Insurance signs landmark investment

Ørsted has signed an agreement with Cathay Life Insurance, the leading insurance company in Taiwan, and its affiliate Cathay Wind Power Holdings Co., under which Cathay Life Insurance will acquire a 50 % ownership share of Ørsted’s 583 MW Greater Changhua 4 Offshore Wind Farm, with Ørsted retaining a 50 % share.
