Ocean Breeze Energy awards service contract to Deutsche Windtechnik

Wednesday, November 4 2026

Wind Energy

Ocean Breeze Energy has selected Deutsche Windtechnik as a result of a short, but intense tender process.

The independent service provider will take over maintenance and troubleshooting for all twelve offshore wind turbines at the alpha ventus wind farm from January 2027.

Deutsche Windtechnik prevailed thanks to a tailored, cost-optimised proposal, strong technical competence and experience with both turbine types, as well as many years of experience at the alpha ventus offshore wind farm. Both companies are committed to a partnership approach.

Ocean Breeze Energy will retain design responsibility, known as third-level management.

The combination of technical expertise and a partnership approach played a crucial role in the decision to award the contract to Deutsche Windtechnik.
