Milestone in submarine cable installation

Monday, November 2 2026

Cable Installation

Taihan Oceanworks, a subsidiary of Taihan Cable & Solution, completed the installation of approximately 7.1 km of 154kV submarine power cable connecting Bigeum and Anjwa Islands in South Korea.

What makes this project particularly meaningful is that the Taihan team managed the entire offshore installation process — from converting a conventional barge into a fully equipped Cable Laying Barge (CLB) to equipment mobilization, cable loading, marine operations, offshore cable laying, and shore-end pull-in.
