Fossil Energy

Vår Energi takes on the operatorship of the Peon gas discovery, one of the largest undeveloped gas discoveries on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The discovery is estimated to contain 105-195 million barrels of oil equivalent and is planned for development as a subsea tie-back to the Gjøa installation.

The transfer further strengthens our position in the Gjøa area and supports our strategy of creating value through efficient resource development using existing infrastructure. By leveraging available capacity at Gjøa, Vår Energi can unlock new volumes by use of existing high-quality infrastructure.

With significant resource potential, a dedicated project team Vår Energi is now ready to continue to mature the concept towards sanction.
