Five Rigs

Arabian Drilling has signed a SAR2 billion contract with Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) to provide four high-specification offshore jack-up drilling rigs.

Signed on 28 September, the four-year contract is the largest single offshore drilling award KJO has made to the company and will increase the number of rigs Arabian Drilling operates for KJO by 200%.

The award lifts the company’s total backlog to about SAR18 billion (about AED 17.63 billion), described as a record by Chief Executive Fahad AlBani.

Recenly, Arabian Drilling signed a five-year contract with SLB for eight land rigs, and in August it won an offshore drilling contract in Oman.
