Chevron names new oil and gas chief to oversee portfolio

Chevron has named Eimear Bonner as president of its Oil, Products & Gas business, placing its current chief financial officer in charge of a portfolio that includes its interest in Guyana’s Stabroek Block.

Effective January 1, 2027, Bonner will oversee operations, capital allocation, and business performance across the division.

Chevron holds a 30% interest in Stabroek following its acquisition of Hess. ExxonMobil operates the block offshore Guyana with a 45% interest, while CNOOC holds 25%.

Bonner has previously highlighted Guyana’s contribution to Chevron’s production.

Bonner succeeds Mark Nelson, who will remain vice chairman with responsibility for strategy and business development. Nelson will focus on opportunities to strengthen Chevron’s portfolio, improve competitiveness, and support long-term growth.
