Entr breaks into Canadian offshore wind market with study win

Tuesday, October 6 2026

Offshore Wind

Aker Solutions’ consultancy arm, Entr has been awarded a contract by Net Zero Atlantic to deliver an offshore wind transmission routing and technology study in Canada as part of the Atlantic Canada Offshore Wind Readiness Program (ACORP).

In collaboration with C-CORE, a Canadian research and development organisation specialising in ocean, ice and geotechnical engineering, Entr will explore and evaluate planning-level transmission routing options and technology configurations for future offshore wind developments.

The study will help inform offshore wind development in Nova Scotia and support the evaluation of potential electricity export opportunities to Canadian and U.S. markets.

Building on Entr and Aker Solutions’ extensive advisory expertise, as well as decades of offshore engineering and project execution experience, the contract award marks the company’s entry into the emerging Canadian offshore wind market.

The study is expected to be completed in January 2027.
