Shutdown

Trans Thai-Malaysia (Thailand), the joint venture between the PTT Group and PETRONAS, has initiated a temporary shutdown of the Songkhla Export Pipeline following an issue identified during a routine inspection.

This shutdown is a precautionary measure to protect the integrity of the pipeline and ensure safe operations.

PETRONAS recognises the potential impact on gas supply to customers in Malaysia and Thailand and is taking proactive measures to ensure continuity of supply to customers in Malaysia.

The PETRONAS integrated supply network provides the flexibility to sustain supply, and the company is working closely with its partners and customers to maintain system stability.

The pipeline will only resume operations once it has been confirmed as safe to do so.

PETRONAS remains focused on upholding the highest standards of safety and operational integrity, while ensuring the reliability of supply to domestic customers in support of Malaysia’s energy security.
