Last month PaxOcean and NYK Line signed a shipbuilding contract for a new Service Operation Vessel (SOV).
The signing marks another milestone in advancing offshore wind support capabilities in Asia.
Based on ULSTEIN’s SX222 design, PaxOcean will build the 89.6-metre vessel at its Graha yard in Batam, Indonesia.
Designed to support the construction and operation of offshore wind farms in Taiwan and across the Asia-Pacific region, the vessel will feature a motion-compensated gangway and accommodation for up to 120 persons, providing a stable and efficient platform for technicians working offshore.
