PTSC chosen for large-scale Qatar field redevelopment

Redevelopment Project

PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) has received a letter of award from QatarEnergy for an EPIC package on the Maydan Mahzam redevelopment project.

The scope of work includes the design, procurement, construction, transportation, offshore installation, connection, commissioning, modification and upgrading of the Maydan Mahzam field cluster.

The Maydan Mahzam field is a mature offshore oil field operated by QatarEnergy. It is located roughly 110 km northeast of mainland Qatar and about 16 km southeast of Halul Island.

The field was discovered in 1963 and began production in November 1965.

The scope of work includes the development of the Arab A, B, C and D reservoirs, the use and modification of existing wellhead jackets, the addition of at least one new wellhead jacket, major upgrades to existing production facilities, and the construction of new and upgraded pipelines and other subsea infrastructure.
