TCP

Petrobras has awarded Strohm a new contract to supply thermoplastic composite pipes (TCPs) for the Brazilian post-salt cluster.

The agreement includes qualification testing, project engineering, field services and support for offshore trials and installation.

The TCP will be used for water injection and gas lift applications at depths of up to 1,500 metres.

The TCP will be evaluated under real operating conditions during the project, including its handling and the feasibility of installing it from Petrobras’s typical pipe-lay vessels.
