Pedestal Cranes

Huisman has signed a contract with Dajin Heavy Industry, China, for the delivery of four 1,200mt Heavy Lift Pedestal Cranes.

The cranes will be installed on two new heavy lift transport vessels currently under construction for Jumbo Maritime, with each vessel being equipped with two cranes.

The project marks the introduction of Huisman’s new Heavy Lift Pedestal Crane range, with Jumbo Maritime becoming the launching customer. The cranes are designed to provide maximum versatility for demanding heavy lift operations worldwide.

The new Huisman Heavy Lift Pedestal Crane range retains the simplicity of a pedestal crane while delivering lifting capacities from 180mt to 1,200mt, capabilities typically associated with much larger crane solutions. Its integrated design minimises maintenance effort, thereby simplifying servicing and helping to maximise vessel availability throughout its operational life.

The cranes for Jumbo are prepared for the future installation of an additional fly jib, enabling a broader scope of operations.

The cranes feature a fully electric drive system combined with Huisman’s Power Management System, optimising energy consumption while maintaining high operational performance and reliability.
