On 7 September, JFE Engineering began shipping monopiles from its Kasaoka works in Okayama, Japan.

According to the newspaper Tekko Shimbun, the order comprises 21 units, which are being transported three at a time on a single dedicated vessel. The entire order is expected to be delivered to Kajima by March 2027.
Each monopile is 10.5 metres wide, around 80 metres long and made of 100-millimetre-thick steel plates, weighing roughly 2,000 tonnes.
The order comprises around 43,000 tonnes of steel for the 315 MW project off the coast of Oga, Katagami and Akita City.
