Long Term Charter
Acta Marine announced that its newest Service Operation Vessel (SOV), Acta Gemini, has completed its shakedown and mobilisation period.
The vessel is now beginning a long-term charter agreement in support of RWE’s Sofia Offshore Wind Farm in the United Kingdom.
Operating from Grimsby, Acta Gemini will provide offshore accommodation and Walk-to[1]Work services for technicians and specialists involved in the commissioning and future operation and maintenance of the 1.4 GW Sofia Offshore Wind Farm.
Located on Dogger Bank in the North Sea, Sofia, once fully operational, is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power the equivalent of 1.2 million UK homes.
