Sirius Design & Integration AS has signed a contract for the design of two large Construction Support Vessels (CSVs) to be built at Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in China.

The contract includes two firm vessels, with options for two additional units.

The customer remains undisclosed.

The vessels have been developed in close cooperation with the customer, a leading player in the energy sector, and are based on Sirius’ CSV design platform. They are developed for demanding operations, with a focus on operational flexibility, energy efficiency and future-ready solutions.

Sirius will deliver the conceptual design and complete basic design package.

The vessels will measure 144.7 metres in length with a beam of 27 metres.

They will be equipped with two large offshore cranes and two LARS for ROV operations, and will be prepared for the installation of a carousel, VLS and other mission-specific equipment.
