Ørsted proposes OWF Dadu II in Taiwan

Wind Energy

Ørsted has proposed a new Offshore Wind Farm in Taiwan.

The new 2GW project is located off the coast of Changhua – in the newly available Cross Strait channel.

The OWF is called Dadu II and the name is inspired by the river that runs between Taichung and Changhua, as well as a district in Taichung.

Dadu I has been proposed beginning of April off Taichung and overlapping the former Iberdrola, CanWind and RWE sites.

Taiwan’s next auction will be end of September. To qualify developers need to hold a first approval of their Environment Impact Assessment.
