CIP Taiwan announced that Fengmiao I Offshore Wind Farm has reached several major construction milestones!

In late July, the project successfully completed the installation of all 99 pin piles, laid, buried and pulled-in both export cables, and installed the offshore substation, keeping the project firmly on track to achieve grid connection in 2027.
Fengmiao I is CIP’s third offshore wind project in Taiwan and the first to feature an offshore substation. It is also home to the world’s tallest installed jacket foundation for an offshore substation.
The installation was carried out by CDWE’s heavy-lift vessel Green Jade.
Throughout construction, Fengmiao I continues to work hand in hand with Taiwanese suppliers, contractors, and local communities.
From the manufacturing of pin piles and wind turbine jacket foundations by CTCI-M and Century Group, to the engagement of local fishermen from Taichung for guard vessel services and marine mammal observation, the project remains committed to creating lasting value for Taiwan’s offshore wind industry and coastal communities.
